Yenko Motor Stamp?
Fellas -
If someone was to have Yenko do a dealer swap on an engine - pull out the original engine and drop in an L88 - what would they have stamped the engine with? Would they also generally have stamped the tranny? Does anyone have pics that they can post or e mail? Guess the only way to document something like this would be a Yenko receipt, right? Not a COPO, so a build sheet won't help. Did Yenko keep records of items like this? Thanks in advance for any info. Scott Walters [email protected] |

Re: Yenko Motor Stamp?
Anyone care to lend a hand here? If you don't want to post it, please me an e mail at [email protected]. I'm not trying to clone anything, just want to see if a car is legit.
Thanks, Scott |
Re: Yenko Motor Stamp?
I'm no expert, but I dont believe Yenko put L-88's in any cars...I hope you are not looking at the L-88 69 Yenko Chevelle in Trenton, NJ...that is the only supposed 'Yenko' I have ever heard of with an L-88....if that is the car..the car has been talked about here before..

Re: Yenko Motor Stamp?
Yenko would install a L-88, if that is what the customer wanted. There is a well known, low mileage '69 Yenko that has a Yenko installed L-88, that has all the docs from Yenko to prove.

Re: Yenko Motor Stamp?
Tom, Did that car start out as a COPO, or L78?

Re: Yenko Motor Stamp?
Thanks ..I stand corrected...as I said I am no expert..and who better to know the real deal than Tom from this site !!!

Re: Yenko Motor Stamp?
Is that the FG one that SCW did 8-10 years ago?

Re: Yenko Motor Stamp?
No. Tom is talking of Brian Hendersons Old X-66 Daytona Yellow car with the 68 style vinyl top, 7200 orig. mile car with the engine trans plant that was done back in the mid 70's. most likely the Baddest 69 Yenko car there is in my mind. When do you think another car of that caliber will turn up again. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

There are other mid-70s documented Yenko L88 transplant cars around.
