http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC05133.jpg hood still in place, getting some extra clearance by removing front hinge bolts, what is the advantage to this, or is this a one man operation requiring the hood stay put ? |
Re: Winter Mini Project
One man operation.........Gotta do what it takes...You're right, took the forward hood bolts out and loosened the back ones and propped the hood enough to get it out....LOL

Re: Winter Mini Project
I am happy you are keeping it original. I am sure it will be a great job as usual. No dreams about 4 barrels and off road camshafts with 4.56 gears and headers. You know how you are???? HA

Re: Winter Mini Project
Ah yes one of my favorite things in life when Ken shares one of his projects with us. I look, learn, go to my garage break it and pay someone else to fix it. I love these cars.

A/C cars only ? cooling tube runs into cold air duct ? |

A/C cars only ? cooling tube runs into cold air duct ? </div></div> Yep!!......The A/C Blower Motor is larger than a standard one......it has to work harder as the A/C evaporator unit in the car doesn't have a blower feature in it, there is just a vent door that opens and the motor has to "Push" the diverted air thru the A/C module.......Fred Flintstone stuff.....LOL.....there's a tube that connects the rubber hose to the Squirrel cage/ Blower housing that then blows air thru the motor to keep it cool... Thanks, Dan </div></div> The engine is painted with Duplicolor Engine Enamel (Spray Can).........The Exhaust Manifolds were done per Grady Burch and M22 Mikes secret recipe..........Glass Bead.....Acid wash....and sprayed with Slip-Plate........(Spray Can Graphite that Grady sells)......I did the Biscayne Manifolds with this product and they still look like the day they were finished... http://www.slipplate.com/index.php?m...mage&pID=4 Ken |
