PAVILLIONS 03_26_2011!
Holly and I went up to Pavillions tonight. Rick E was with his wife at the emergency room (she hasn't been feeling well...and he finally talked his wife (the nurse) into going to get checked out). I talked to him and she's doing better now...and is home! [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif[/img]
My brother Gary was there with his son Taylor...We saw Sam Griffith, Dave O, Bob A, Sizzler Wayne and a few of the other Pavilions regulars. I also have a secret...but I can't tell you...cause one of the regulars would have to kill me. Sam, Holly and I checked out this unrestored Boss 302 Mustang. The owner, Kirk, bought the car in 1976. He's been told too many times to count...to restore the car....I told him, please don't!

If your 300 Deluxe were a (post) sedan, you <span style="text-decoration: underline">would not</span> get <span style="font-style: italic">Astro Ventilation</span>, because you had side vent windows for ventilation. However, if your 300 Deluxe were a coupe (w/o "B" pillars) like mine you <span style="text-decoration: underline">would</span> get <span style="font-style: italic">Astro Ventilation</span>. All Malibu and 300 Deluxe coupes received <span style="font-style: italic">Astro Ventilation</span> (unless you had a/c option - I think). If you don't inspect too closely you may never determine that you are looking at a 300 Deluxe SS coupe. The external differences are subtle between a Malibu SS and the one year only 300 Deluxe SS coupe (see Jim's photo above of the feature summary of my 300). BTW, there are no external or internal 300 Deluxe badges on a 300 Dx SS. Thanks for clearing that up for me Sam....I guess your car is the first non post Chevelle 300 I've ever seen. In addition to the trim tag, I think the interior gives it away that it's a 300. I don't believe the seat covers with the white stripe were available on Malibu's. I love the interior in Chevelle 300's...very cool car! Your car also has a very rare bench seat shifter....I've never seen a bench shifter turn up on the end like yours does.
