Not cheap but who wouldn't LVE a '61 Post TriPowered W-motor/Stick car, especially if a real factory built car!!!
I don't know the car or seller but it's up here in Canada so GM Vintage docs may be available if Canadian built or US built and sold new through a Canadian dealer..
If all's legit, maybe it is cheap?.

That would be an extremely nice original find. The paint and trim looks awfully good for 100K+mi though......
And what the heck is an alternator doing on it?

I would bet the original owner decided to upgrade over the past 50 years. That alternator was probably added during the 60's or 70's if I had to guess when ...

It WAS just a car back then, HIS car that HE was driving

It's '61 Post week here in Canada w/ drivetrain choices as besides the W-car available above there's also a BelAir 6-Cyl. and the seldom seen Impala Post car w/ a 283, click below..

I love '61 Posts and my dream car a Canadian built factory W-Powered '61 Pontiac Strato-Chief 2-Dr. Post Utility-Sedan!.
You guys do know the last W-Motor cars ever built were Canadian '65 Pontiacs right?.

How late in the model year did Canada build W motor '65s Pete? US plants built them into January, then there were no big blocks available until the 396 was released.

Re: '61 BelAir 348/4-Spd 2-Dr. Post

Is there anything on the front grill or rear that helps identify what motor came in these cars?
...I have a friend that has on that is a post car.... I think it has a gold "V" on the front grill.

...Neat cars
