A 1967 Dana Camaro
I am new to this group and I thought I would just throw it out there to everyone that I just purchased a car from a friend that just moved out of state . Is a fun driving 67 Camaro SS RS #s matching auto & 396 325hp, a very nice daily driver. The cool thing about this car is that is was purchased originlly from Dana Chevrolet March of 67, as stated on the original Protect-o-Plate that I found in the trunk.
What I am trying to figure out is that my car is not one of the Super Rare 427 cars from Dana Chevrolet but only a 396 car, but even so would that make my Camaro worth a little more the the car that came form somewhere else. What do you think? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...3-dsc08485.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...4-dsc07910.jpg |
Re: A 1967 Dana Camaro
Neat Camaro...I love 1967 RS/SS 396 Camaros. Cool that it came from Dana...
My brother has one from SoCal, too....from Cone Chevrolet, Fullerton, Ca. Check it out Click Here for the Members Ride Feature |
Re: A 1967 Dana Camaro
Unlike Yenkos, weren't most Dana 427 Camaros actually converted SB cars? Welcome aboard Ed! ~ Pete |
Re: A 1967 Dana Camaro
I'm not sure it would add any value but that is a nice looking car.

Re: A 1967 Dana Camaro
Certainly adds to the "Kool" factor, IMO.

Very cool looking 67, I like it, and welcome.

Re: A 1967 Dana Camaro
Yes a real nice car. The story just adds to the neatness of the car. Stories are always the best things about most of these cars in my opinion. Lovin the paperwork too. Post more pictures and welcome aboard.

Re: A 1967 Dana Camaro
First time I've seen hand written in pen. Normally, Dana used a stamp.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...3-dsc07789.jpg </div></div> "Only" a 396??? Hey, only 5,003 of them were built in '67. (Right guys?) Still my favorite Camaro because of that Turbo Jet emblem there on the fender. Sometimes I go out into the garage and pinch myself that I have one, also a CA black-plate car from Alan Gwynn in Glendale. Hate to say it but if those are real Dana plate frames I wouldn't leave your car unattended. |

Bill..I thought it was 4,003?

Bruce, I found the car in central Calif. The guy I got it from was not into car history and not much into Camaros so he didn't ask the old guy he got it from very many questions. It's all born-with driveline and largely original paint. Runs and stops but has been off the road for a long time. Very rust free car. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...1-p1020394.jpg |

Re: A 1967 Dana Camaro
Don't mean to cut in, great find.....the real question is,do the retractable lights still retrack ?
|
Re: A 1967 Dana Camaro
What was the cause for the dimple in the rear end? if you dont mind me asking and yes i did call it a dimple
|
Re: A 1967 Dana Camaro
The guy I got it from had no details of the accident. I have not been able to locate the previous owner as of yet.
I have not tried the headlight s and I think I'll just hold on that for now! |

I am looking at a car that came from Dana, it has this on the air cleaner. Does anyone know how they were delivered?

Re: A 1967 Dana Camaro
Ed,
Great looking car. I noticed that the car has a rear sway bar. Is it an GM sway bar or is it a period correct after market unit? Can you post more pics of the undercarriage and sway bar mounting? -Dave |
