PHS doesn't have buildsheets, they do have the original invoices.

You may find the broadcast under the rear seats (most common) or above the gas tank. They are rather rare in these cars. After 1972 only the Norwood Ohio plant was building the second gen F-bodies and they tended to not place broadcasts in the car. My 73 survivor SD455 did not have one, but my Gramma's 1975 Esprit did have one under the rear seat. Go figure!

I tried to load photos of each but for some reason the server isn't letting me at the moment.

Here is a link to my Gramma Car's broadcast:

and my former black 455HO Formula's PHS:

That's a strange one - a '73 in a '70-72 paint scheme.

Re: 1973 trans am

The car was repainted in the mid 90s and the owner like the 72 look better

I have also heard that you may find one around the steering column or in the dash area?

Maybe on a Mopar but I've never seen one on an F-Body in that location.

Re: 1973 trans am

What color should it be originally ?

Re: 1973 trans am

It has the 1970-72 tape stripes on the hood, roof and trunk, along with a blue painted shaker. If you removed those stripes and repainted the shaker white, the car would be correct for 1973. The only decal available in 1973 was the optional hood bird. The 1973s also had different (larger) "Trans Am" logo decals as well.

In 1973 there were only three colors for the Trans Am: white, red, or green.
