My Plain Jane 1969 Z28 Survivor
5 Attachment(s)
This car was purchased new at H.O.B. Motors in North Plainfield, NJ by Don K. The car was not ordered by him, it was dealer inventory and on the lot. The car has few options, console, gauges and deluxe comfort weave interior. Yes this car is sans spoilers, cowl hood and even a radio, although on the dealer invoice a Motorola AM radio is noted. The Orig owner had until 2009 and put only 32k miles and never modified. The smog has never removed.

Re: My Plain Jane Survivor
Gorgeous car. How did the east coast tin worm not get to her? .... Now that I live in cali it is so weird to see the old jersey QQ plates ..

Re: My Plain Jane Survivor
Thanks. What baffles me is the orig owner owned a Sunoco station, and with his knowledge and access he never touched the car.

Darrell, the Lemans blue car is an RS/SS L78. The car was sold new at Harbor Chevrolet in Long Beach, CA. Just a great driver (repaint)I sold years ago(2004) when I purchased my Yenko. Still has born with drivetrain, and very well equipped, black comfort weave, m21, 373, console gages, PS, am/fm, tinted glass. The interior is original except for front seats which I plan to redo. She home again but I need to give her some attention. I just replaced the fuel lines front to back and rebuilt the brakes. My next task is getting the engine dialed in. When I sold the car she ran great; now not so much. Working on tweaking the distributor and carb. I'll put together a story on the car in the members rides section. |
Re: My Plain Jane Survivor
BUT ITS NOT BLACK! I'll take it off your hands Steve!

Re: My Plain Jane Survivor
2 great cars Steve. More info and pictures. Hopefully a detailed look at getting your blue car dialed in. Z/28 looks like a benchmark type car.

Re: My Plain Jane Survivor
That car is a twin sister to mine! The previous owner since 1971 added a GM cowl hood and spoilers though.

I've spoken to the original owner a few time in the last month, and he's sending me some original pictures of the car, which I hope to post shortly. I stopped over where I store a few cars and took a picture of the last inspection 2/1990 and mileage noted 32,015.
