427-435 intake & carbs

What’s the going rate for an original intake & carbs set-up off a 427-435 Corvette? I have an opportunity to purchase a set for $1300. Original Winters intake & lead sealed carbs

Don't know exactly, but that sounds like a pretty good deal. My Dad would love to have that set-up on his Chevelle, but it seems like they usually go for a bit more money.

----What year is this set? There's a value difference between 67 and 68/69. That's a very good deal for a set of 67s with manifold and still a good deal for a 8/9. Check the dates on the carbs and the numbers as the center carb could be an automatic. As well, you stated 435 so I will assume that you have made sure you are not looking at a 400hp set-up. As well again, check the center carb numbers as it could be an auto carb 435hp as they did make 435 automatics in low numbers......Bill S

Date code on 1 is 911 for 1969. Waiting on other 2

Be cautious that the four outer bolt flanges on the manifold aren't cracked is the only thing I would add. If they are fine, I'd say that was a very reasonable price.

----Yup! Still got the vac pots. Looks relatively complete. If you are willing to wait for it this stuff could bring $3000.00, but maybe better to take 2000 to 2400 a little faster......Bill S

Not many people are looking for 68 setups. If it were me I would pass.

911 & 832 are the other 2 date codes. Other holes are said to be crack free

Hope you bought the intake, that's good with dated carbs. Remember that the temp sender provision was moved from the intake to the heads in 1968. If you use the intake on a 1967 engine with pre 1968 heads, you have no place to hook up a temp sender.

Got it yesterday. I think I did ok. I traded cash, a 73 Dart 4dr parts car and additional Dart parts I had laying around for it. Had nothing invested in Dart stuff.
