Wow.....humility at it finest hour.....lol.

She looks sweet. When can we do the famous 150' Lillard burn out?

Come on Charley, can you at least tell us what kind of gas mileage you get?!

Charley Lillard 01-30-2018 01:14 AM

I'm waiting to get it registered in Arizona. But now that you remind me I don't think I have done a burnout with it.

FM?

Tenney 01-30-2018 01:23 AM

Front-wheel drive, does wheelies in reverse, one-of-one.

You forgot to mention that it has black stripes.

In all seriousness - some of the guys I work(ed) with drove those as company cars.

I had a magazine laying out one time, on the cover of which was a red 70 Chevelle SS with black stripes. One of the "old" guys strolled by and commented "Oh! I drove one of those as a company vehicle back in the day...".

Then, as sort of an afterthought, he quietly added "...it got terrible gas mileage".

He walked off, leaving me sitting there speechless.

Love the colors.

There was a write-up on this car and other Survivor cars from the show last November on MSN homepage today.

I loved looking at this car, but every time I got near it an alarm went off......

We can take care of that near Pavilions and share with everyone! :)

I'll bet that was a proximity alarm, warning you that your wife was getting ready to club you with a baseball bat!

Charley Lillard 01-30-2018 11:03 PM

It's not like I was going to be able to chase you down on that bike Bob gave me to ride.

I forgot that the sending unit was bad in the tank so dropped it today. Nice bare metal on part of the diff cover.

NorCam 02-03-2018 01:41 AM

It's as sweet a Chevelle as I've ever seen Charlie, but do know that I appreciate someone who isn't afraid to mash the fun pedal. I laugh every time I see you do that with another car. So who films them and stands there in the line of fire when you're pointing back towards the shop? :burnout:

Charley Lillard 02-03-2018 01:46 AM

LOL...My wife does filming and mentioned yesterday that it takes trust when I am headed right at her while on the throttle. But we've been married 44 years...

scuncio 02-03-2018 02:05 AM

Love it....

NorCam 02-03-2018 09:14 AM

I thought so. Could hear her giggle a couple times in the different clips you have posted and figured it had to be someone who really trusted you while pointed back towards them.

Kudos to her for standing in there like a champ and holding the camera steady. :headbang:

Xplantdad 02-03-2018 01:20 PM

Thanks to Shirley for her camera skills. Congrats on the 44 years, also! :burnout:

resto4u 02-03-2018 03:25 PM

That is great that she does not mind the rubber on the driveway. She must know your just like a teenager all over again.

Charley Lillard 02-03-2018 03:42 PM

What do you mean "all over again".:dunno:

Jonesy 02-03-2018 04:39 PM

Great vids, got anything else in the garage that needs the cobwebs blown out??

Mr70 02-05-2018 06:12 PM

After 44 years of marriage,no one would blame you... :naughty: just saying.
