Wow...NOS Torq Thrust D 15x6 Wheels from 1968

Amazing to find these new in the box, and a nice reference for how they actually looked when new. I would have guessed the spokes were finished in the dull gold color, but these look like more of an as-cast finish.

But man, I've paid less for many of my cars....

Wow. A whole bunch of money. But....Wow.

BJCHEV396 03-23-2018 03:18 AM

Think he'll get his asking price?

Bill Pritchard 03-23-2018 02:41 PM

Doubtful.

mockingbird812 03-23-2018 02:58 PM

Beautiful. Would the center caps have been plastic (as they appear in the photo) back in '68?

olredalert 03-23-2018 03:18 PM

----Yes! I had a set on my 66 in 67 that I bought from Jeg himself!......Bill S

mockingbird812 03-23-2018 03:43 PM

----There's the irritating part. I mean, we all know what he paid for them. Not that that matters,,,I guess......Bill S

It's a shame that American Racing doesn't just produce the original wheels, whether it be D-spokes like these or the Torq-Thrust with the peaked spokes. The newer versions just aren't the same.

Bid up to $9,950 the last time (March 11). Now $7,975.

mockingbird812 03-24-2018 12:47 PM

...that’s with ZERO bids, however!

Bill Pritchard 03-24-2018 02:15 PM

No "bidding" on these, strictly a buy-it-now offering.

BJCHEV396 03-24-2018 08:07 PM

He came down to $7500.00.
