'69 Camaro SS396/4-speed Special Paint X22 Project

Neat car...was originally gold according to the description.

If cars could talk.... Looks like the entire underside was "Day 2" white like my own L78 car was.

Wonder what was unique about the gold paint to warrant the dash on the cowl tag? If you deleted the hockey stick stripe on an SS, was that considered special paint?

Would like to see a much clearer picture of that trim tag.

I still can't believe how many people sand the trim tags, it's like an unwritten rule...

That is a pretty loaded up car, if it came originally with everything on it now.

Yes

Maybe stripe delete?

L78M22Rag 10-17-2018 04:14 PM

It has that rare rear antenna / spoiler combination...

firstgenaddict 10-17-2018 04:51 PM

Wow... what a combo.
RS L78 Cowl Hood... FWIW it did not have spoilers originally. Wonder if it was GOLD or Champagne?

L78M22Rag 10-17-2018 07:00 PM

Perhaps it was/is a COPO?

Being such a late car makes it unlikely to be a X22 COPO - Every RS COPO I know of built
February I know of is an X11.

Totally agree. But my comment was more about the fact there there only appears to be one dash, would expect '- -' or '- B' (for example) if it had a vinyl top, or was a 'vert.......

375

I know the car real well. It is a all original car that was originally painted A puke yellow, almost like a school bus. It is a real SS/RS 375, deluxe interior, rear antenna. I am pretty sure it is a BU rear.
