Just got the Mecum note too, all great other than being a '75?
Interesting the auction includes a 1975 GM letter w/ Coupe and 'Vert breakdown of the 1975 L82 cars.
No Trans info noted but 2007 L82 Coupes and 366 L82 'Verts = 2373 total.
:beers:

L82 Corvette...

Not sure I understand the 'L79' connection...the letter only mentions L82:hmmm:

As for it being a 1975...well I like that era...I was building my first hotrod...Corvettes were cool....especially red ones.

You can ship it to my house...I'll pay the freight :flag:

Meant to say L82 but typed L79...50+ years using aluminum cookware is starting to show?:hmmm:
Fixed now, thanks Wilma!
:beers:

I'll take a wild guess because I don't know these cars very well but I'll say.......
$35,000

I like it, but the value would drop if I owned it because I'd be driving it.

----Bob Z (my partner in crime at Classic Motors) and I went to a small town just north of Indy and bought this 75 Corvette from the original owner in the early 80s I think. He bought it for his girl friend at the time. I believe we sold it for her about a year later or so because no one wanted to put any miles on it...….Bill S

I thought it looked familiar - I sent the link to Stretch and he confirmed it. I remember seeing it at the shop in Joliet way back when.

----Steve,,,Not surprised, as you have had some of the best Corvettes on earth over the years! The car is pictured exactly as we 1st saw it. I always wondered why, with all the options checked off, the OO didn't order white lettered tires, but who cares with such an exceptional car. This is the ultimate 75 Corvette, in my opinion. I talked with Stretch yesterday and reminisced about our trip down to buy it. We really weren't expecting anything like what we saw when the owner opened up the garage door..….Bill S

Bill, I have no idea as to why the OO ordered the car with blackwalls. I will say this, those blackwall firestone steel radials are as rare as hens teeth. I took them off right after the photoshoot because I am afraid of the belts separating. It has a set of white lettered GY steelgards currently. Both sets of wheels/tires go with the car. Someone will be getting one heck of a car.

Found this old Polaroid of the car at Bloomington back in the day.

I think that is Bill S's 402/4 speed Monte in the background and maybe the fender of Jan's 66 on the right? Thinking this was mid 80's???

Sorry for the non rotated photo - it was upright when scanned......
