Man, that's a good looking car.

duskblue 04-12-2020 07:44 PM

That's a lot of car for 27 k

1969L89 04-12-2020 07:55 PM

Work the dents out, wet sand and polish the paint, detail entire car, tune it, and put a fresh set of original Polyglas tires on it and it would be a nice survivor car.

L_e_e 04-12-2020 07:59 PM

Only thing I would change on that is to put some proper tires on it, then drive it.

azcamaros 04-12-2020 08:51 PM

I have looked at the car and if I was wanting another project it would already be at my house. It has some rust on the frame but nothing to be afraid of, not rot through. It does have born with engine, trans, and rear end.

MosportGreen66 04-12-2020 11:54 PM

Man is this thing great! Someone snatch her up!

AnthonyS 04-13-2020 12:20 AM

I concur! Cool car, a good friend had a black 70 Corvette LT-1 in high school more than 30 years ago now, and that motor was a screamer... still have strong memories of being 18 in that car going downtown Friday night... huh. Tempting.

CamaroNOS 04-13-2020 01:06 AM

I am trying to buy it.

The owner has not returned any phone calls or emails all afternoon.

Frustrating..........

Gratuitous plug.... I've still got this one on the market. Plenty of interest, but no trigger pulls yet. Same color, only 33k original miles and mostly orig paint, but NOM.

if it was a member who got it, i would love to hear how it is upon arrival.

RSSSfan 04-15-2020 03:03 PM

Dang, it sold and the ad was deleted before I got to see it. Next time maybe someone can post some pictures from the ad so we can all see what you were looking at. Good luck to the new owner!

RSSSfan 04-15-2020 03:04 PM

I had a 70 LT-1 motor in my 69 Z years ago, and yes, those motors scream. One of the best running cars I have owned.

Lynn 04-15-2020 04:17 PM

I have one in my 69 Z right now, with headers and a recurved distributor.

Here you go...

Xplantdad 04-15-2020 08:38 PM

Nice Shaun, nice!!:headbang:

Dave Rifkin 04-15-2020 08:40 PM

I love the second generation Z28s and have owned two in my past. I noticed this one doesn't have the "Camaro" emblem on the trunk lid; is that dependent on where the car was built?

No...this is a norwood 6D, also have a 7B LA and no emblem.
Must be a late production thing.

Shaun , my 70 Z/28 is a Norwood 6C production date and it doesn’t have a emblem on the deck lid. Congratulations, nice car.

Bill Pritchard 04-16-2020 12:05 AM

I think I'd be tempted to give that to a paintless dent removal guy and tell him "do the best that you can" and call it a day. Nice car!

mockingbird812 04-16-2020 12:11 AM

Congrats Shaun! Nice one. BTW, when did u move to PA? :hmmm:

Looks like that dent has been in there since the 70,s...

A12pilot 04-18-2020 10:24 PM

Wait, I’m confused....Shaun posts a reply with “here you go” in relation to more photos. Bruce reply’s “Nice, Shaun” implying Shaun has purchased the car. The Samminator posts that Shaun has now moved to PA to which Bruce replies with an accepted grin like he knows what’s going on all along. And then Shaun replies that “he’s not getting into it...” implying that he, Sam, Bruce, and from my understanding, the State of Pennsylvania are indeed in on this purchase. :hmmm:

I think I’m close to cracking this un’.....:cool2::biggthumpup:

Cheers :beers:goggles
Dave

BCreekDave 04-18-2020 10:29 PM

That's either the worst photo of a bush or the worst photo of a car I've ever seen.:hmmm:

Anyway, whoever ended up with it nice score.

I've never seen a bad photo of a bush.

galveston 04-19-2020 02:40 AM

That's what is known as a "Tree Cholla" cactus in bloom

Those were taken when the car resided in Santa Fe, N.M.

I could post a pic but I would then be playin' in the band.

NorCam 04-20-2020 10:23 AM

Nice score Scott. I was going to call on the car when I saw someone post that it was sold. Then I saw it was headed to PA and immediately figured it was headed your way.

Old pics look great too!

scott s 04-20-2020 01:00 PM

Thanks the documentation on the car is unreal everything down to the original owners death certificate , hopefully the car itself dosen,t disappoint .....figures after i bought a car i have been trying to buy pops up for sale...lol......

bugsy 04-20-2020 02:01 PM

Congrats scott. I told my wife that seemed like a good deal. Same car we own for a long time. I think alot of cars and parts will surface for sale in the next year.
