1962 Corvette Restoration
 

My friend Joe asked me to do the front brakes of his 1962 Corvette.
Well, you all know the rest of the story....a simple brake job turned into this :)

I am sure this has happened to
many of you in the past :)

Joe has owned this 1962 Corvette for over 35 years...she is one of his favorite cars.

Now she will get much Love.

Before we drop off the car to the body shop.....we decided to place her our our German
Made Tilter....what a great piece of German Engineering :)
To give her a proper bath of the under carriage.

Today we disassembled The Frame, Chassis and Suspension.
Tomorrow we will load the Frame and all parts off for Powder Coating :)

I saw the power washing done by Joe a while back on Facebook :)

its getting closer Dan.

I'm really looking forward too working on something other than the house.
I've got a Honda CT70 and my 1983 C30 Dump truck that I want to restore.

and you stay safe also.

Busted down the front cradle and
loaded up all the parts and frame to go to Powder Coater :)

I dont know if this car was an original Roman Red car but you can check the rear panel behind passenger side seat. 62 corvettes had the original colors written in grease pencil in that area. Also sometimes under the color it would be written HT for hardtop if the car had the RPO 419 Auxiliary Hardtop.
