'66 #s 427/425hp Corvette Convertible, Factory Tuxedo Black, Side Exhaust

Still riding on ancient Radial T/As from the 1970s. What a neat car with all the right equipment. Odd that the seller didn't take the time to get the car back into running and driving condition - sounds like it's pretty close. He implies the car can be bought reasonably - guessing it will go for $55-60k....

Wow piece for a Roadster also sounds like a great seller to deal with!
A real Black L72 Pipe car and more seems too many pluses in one deal so doubtful the auction will run to the end?:hmmm:

Yes looks like it is potentially a deal and super desirable car. Refreshing comments from the Seller versus the typical arrogance and idiotic comments from many on Ebay.

MosportGreen66 07-18-2020 12:47 PM

According to this link, the car was in a fairly serious accident. Unrelated, a fender was replaced too.

I would do more homework to ensure the car is everything as described. I hope its real... not much better than black, convertible, pipes, and KOs in '66 for the Vette!

I agree with Dan do your homework on this one. Looks like a stamper to me.

SuperNovaSS 07-19-2020 10:11 PM

That looks like a stamper? Looks good to me. Seems like the ultimate of 66 production to me.

Stamp and broach pattern sure look good to me.

I wouldn’t let the accident damage deter me if a thorough inspection checked out.

I don’t love certain aspects of the pad... which I won’t write on a public forum but PM me if your heart so desires

Is there documentation that proves all this yumminess was factory ordered? I see no mention of a tank sticker...

Tank Stickers started in 67. This car would need the Window Sticker, Order Form, BOS (or another dealer document) to prove those options. POP will only prove out the drivetrain & trim tag.

Best,
Dave

You were the Big Dog Bad Boy with that set up, right from dealer lot to the stop light gran prix for sure. Not a lot could hang with that car in 66

Right you are! Totally forgot that.

I see a bid has been retracted, and the car is back below the reserve again. Interesting.... Looks like the reserve was $55k.

Auction ran its course w/ winning bidder @ $ 58,100.
