Happy 30th Heart Transplant Anniversary, Holly (Xplantsgirl)
 

This is to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Holly's Heart transplant, which occurred on November 15th, 1990. Her transplant was made possible by the firefighters who saved her life numerous times due to her sick heart, the great doctors at Children's Hospital Orange County (CHOC) and most importantly, the caring and amazing family who donated precious life saving organs in their time of grief...and some very talented doctors including Dr. Leonard Bailey at Loma Linda University Medical Center who performed the transplant.



We are forever grateful to the donor family and to all families who choose to donate.

Damn. I cannot believe how fast that has gone by. She really got the medical world to sit up and take note. One very strong and willed woman. Good parenting helped too.... ;)

Wow, Congratulations on an incredible milestone. Its not just the life, but how you live it. I can't help but believe that the positive life Holly seems to live has made this transplant last so long. If you were a heart, would you want to give up that gig?;)

Happy 30th and we wish you many more. We donated my son's organs in 1992 and my wife had a kidney transplant in 1998. Thank God for all the people who donate.

This is truly a big day. I look forward to many more milestones!

When my wife Lynn's father passed away, we donated everything that was usable. Also, I signed my donor card when I was seventeen years old .


Like I said in the video, we are blessed and fortunate to have so many people that have been involved and shared in Holly's journey so far.
