Very cool. Especially nice to see the paint coverage on the bellhousing. GLWS!

This motor needs a home in one of those crazy low-mileage Survivor Vega’s that occasionally surface!
When '69 Z's were $1,500 - $2,500 in the 70's, a lot of the low mile cars I looked at had this crate engine. Huge performance improvement over the original 302 engine.
I like the brush painted wirestands and the silver on pass side head at the front and the rear "china wall" intake gasket... exactly what one would expect to see.
I need to buy a car to put it in!!
Well, I would buy it, but the passenger side wire stand has a paint run. So..... no.
Wow, what a great piece of history, as well as a kick a$$ motor. |

Great motor. I had one in my '69 before the original 302 was rebuilt.
The last digit on the intake number was changed for some reason. Maybe to indicate its an over the counter part? The heads are also '492s Attachment 203102 Attachment 203103 Attachment 203104  |
