Hey markinnaples

----I like this 66. Very original interior and engine compartment is basicly good. At 1st I thought it was a restamp as the serial # and engine # appear to be inverted to me. Then I looked up 66 engine pads on Google and see others the same way, as well as the way I have always thought was correct. What do the rest of us Corvette wonks think???....Bill S

I would not change anything on this car.

I would not repaint this car back to white. They painted Janis Joplin’s Porsche back to its factory color and I think her sister and family repainted it back to the awesome flower power paint scheme that Janis had.

I have one other L72 with the same build date in my files and it is a layover for this stamp.
Either way, they need to post a better picture of the pad. |
What are these like to drive without power steering?

I say leave as is.
Take this out for a spin and count the looks. |
----I told my buddy Bob Zimmerman about this 66 and later he called me back and asked if I looked at the trim tag. I missed that this 66 had a dark blue interior new. Some one changed some of the stuff to black but not all. The dash is still blue. This would be the 1st 66 I have ever heard of that was white with a dark blue gut and a beautiful set of original Kelsey Hayes KO's. The car would be striking when done and not even a difficult resto if just done body on and lightly detailed underneath. I really wish I had another resto in me, but it's probably best that I don't. Someone take this super cool 66 on,,,Please!!!....Bill S

It would be nice to return the interior to the original Blue, and look better than the half black it has now, but I couldn't destroy that historical paint job...
