What style are they. I beleive there were type types used depending on the year. One of the Resto folks here can tell me if I am correct here. Also how bout filling in your Profile which would help in getting a better response than the above qoute from your post.

there are 2 styles that i'm aware of.....one has about 16 grooves or "fluting" that run the length of the sill plate between the two outer most screw holes.....the other style is embossed or "paneled"......i think the embossed were more widely used and depending on what GM had laying around at any given time both styles could be found on 67-69 camaros and firebirds......the ones i have are embossed

yeah....just like every other rare part on this site.....eveybody has nos sheet metal and moldings....and they want ALL the money......try and find these.....and when you are finishing a sled that is worth $100,000-$250,000 then $1500 becomes a drop in the bucket.....when you open the doors and there is a shiny scuff free pair of riveted sill plates looking at you.....well, need i say more.....like i said, i'm open to offers https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

This guy e-mailed me offsite,i will not write what he e-mailed me but what a total jerk! $1500.00 for sill plates is not fairmarket value,it is a total ripoff!

this will be my last reply regardless of whatever else is said.....when i posted the ad i said i was open to offers....someone corrected me and said i must post a price....so i did....and the $1500 that i posted was only based on what i have seen these bring before....it is always easier to go down in price than it is to try and work the price up.....so far i have not had an offer....only insults and unsolicated opinions.....if you think i am a jerk i can only respond by saying you have brought out the worst in me with your unwanted comments.....if you are not interested in my item or you think the price is too high why can't you just move along.....why do you have to make snide comments?.....at least i e-mailed you directly in an effort to spare all the rest of the good folks on this site the hassle of having to observe a pi$$ing match between a couple of skunks.....in closing i'd like to ask if you are really familiar with what i have.....these are riveted sill plates....not just NOS sill plates but riveted NOS sill plates....they are as rare as hens teeth.....thanx https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif

The way i see it, people can "ask" whatever they want for stuff.. doesn't mean they'll get it. I do question why non sYc members can post parts and memorabilia for sale and not cars for sale... maybe BOTH categories could be limited to those who have made at least a small donation to the club. Maybe thats not a good idea either, but a thought to consider. -JB
