Car renderings by Kris Horton
If you guys are interested in having a rendering and/or poster made of your favorite car[s], Kris Horton really does a nice job. His renderings make for a neat display at shows or just hanging in your garage taking up wall space. I emailed Kris the cruddy picture on top, then a couple weeks later he emailed me this rendering beneath that I had made into a framed poster. Although his art is not intended to exactly replicate the image/car he's drawing [he uses some artistic license]...there's no doubt which car it is. He gives you the final say on all the details of the rendering, but I've found it rarely necessary to change his 1st rendition. Anyways...I highly recommend Kris, and the best way to reach him is via email:

That is striking. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif
How long did it take him to do? Whats the frame size of the Final product? Does he attend major car gatherings doing just this? |
Re: Car renderings by Kris Horton

Re: Car renderings by Kris Horton
Depending on his day job schedule, it usually takes Kris a couple weeks to complete a rendering. The poster is 24 X 36 framed. Kris' business is word of mouth and his web page, plus he displays his work at car shows with his Pro-Touring Chevelle. Prices vary, depending on whether he has ever done a rendering of your particular make/model car, plus it's more expensive if he does the interior of the car [like with my convertible 57 Chevy]. I would say the average price range is $350-500 for the rendering, not including the paper poster. There's a company in the SF Bay area that does the paper posters, and they run about $25-30 each for small quantity orders.
For more examples of his art work, check out the many renderings he's done and posted on www.lateral-g.net SS |

He's about half done and here's the progress update that Kris sent me last night of my RS COPO Camaro.

I have this one as my desktop wallpaper.
PS, how do you get the picture to show in the post instead of as an attachment? |

PS, how do you get the picture to show in the post instead of as an attachment? [/ QUOTE ] LOL...good question, Murray. I had to have Rob and Jeff help me post those pics above. If I know Jeff, he's already emailed you some advice about posting pics that way. SS |
Re: Car renderings by Kris Horton
you mean like this
https://www.yenko.net/attachments/121885-jodycamaro1.jpg Copy the attachment link that you posted and just add to the end of the link with no spaces between them and the link. Photobuckt.com is nice since it will resize and provide you a link to use instead of having to post a attachement and then go back and adding the brackets. Right click on the pic and see what the properties show as the link. |

Re: Car renderings by Kris Horton
Photobucket is cool...though they sent me about 20 warnings that my pictures were taking up too much bandwidth...Hmmm, imagine that! All's I did was take a "few" pictures at B-J. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Re: Car renderings by Kris Horton
