69 SS Z28, RS

Is this possible? Can a camaro be optioned like this. I'm trying to deduce this for a friend, cause he's looking into the car. It has a 327, and I'm getting all the info. Can a 69 SS Z28 RS exist?

no. You can have an SS/RS, or an RS/Z28, but not all 3... and if its an original 327 car it can't be any of the 3 except an RS.

NO!!!!

RS
SS
RS/SS
RS/Z28
but none with all 3 options and if the car had a org 327 in it, it would be a early car and NO WAY A SS OR Z28

Re: 69 SS Z28, RS

I was mistaken the first time . . . it's a supposed SS/Z28, which I don't believe is a valid trim combo, and if it came with a 327 that means that it's neither of these, (SS or Z/28) right?

No such animal as a SS/Z28

And yes if its a org 327 it can not be a SS or Z28

it's a supposed SS/Z28

This became popular in the late 1970s and early 80s, before the restoration craze took hold. Look at any Car Craft or Hot Rod mag from that period and you'll see "SS Z/28s." The "SS Z/28" is one of those urban legends of the car hobby that isn't true.

Here's a '68 "SS Z/28" from the 1980 Car Craft Camaro No. 2 special. SS gas cap and Z emblems = BOGUS! Guys saw cars like this and the myth took off.

I'm getting the trim tag info from a friend who's going to check it out for someone. Should have it later tonight.

At least I know for sure that the seller is outta his mind . . . "oh yeah, I gotta SS-Z/28!" . . . what the hell is he thinkin?

I joking refer to our blue 67 coupe as an SS/Z-28. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif But what everyone says is correct.

No 1st gen SS ever came with a 327.
No 1st gen Z-28 could ever be an SS.
