Re: WOW these are very rare!!!!!!!!
My first car was a '65 SS Chevelle. Loved that carhttps://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif
It was a dead-ringer for the white SS in the ad. Don't think I had those trim pieces though. These trim pieces are going to make a great Chevelle get- together story - huh? BTW, I'm really starting to love the potential bidders ( or whatever you want to call them ) who pose shots that are veiled as questions. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif Steve |
Re: WOW these are very rare!!!!!!!!
It'll be interesting to see if anyone pops for the $4,000-plus to make their '65 Chevelle stand out from the crowd. My first reaction is to say "no way" but...

There was a White one on 5th st in the olney section of philadelphia that had those vents on it. I knew then it was rare but didnt do anything about it. Ive read only one car but that cant be true because this car was seen in person by me 20 yrs ago! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/blush.gif

I lived in Deleware County ( Media area ) at the time. Not too far from Olney. Wonder if we are talking about the same car........... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif Steve |

Re: WOW these are very rare!!!!!!!!
I remember that Chevelle too. A woman owned it. I had a Z16 and a 65 El Camino so I was really into the 65 Chevelles back then too. If I remember correctly that Chevelle ended up in Hellers junkyard in NE philly too. I remeber seeing it there and thinking wow that looks like the one in the brochure. Thats gotta be rare. I did not know HOW rare it was..

Pete!
I found the 65 Chevelle stuff. I'm having a little server difficulty at the moment, so I can't post the images just yet. Hang in there! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif Steve |

Re: WOW these are very rare!!!!!!!!
Thanks Steve for seeking the pics and posting them. . Interesting to take note of and for sure not the same as the '65 Beaumont ones. . Here's a link if it works to a picture of a '65 Beaumont showing it's own unique trim. .

Re: WOW these are very rare!!!!!!!!
As I remember a previous post, there were some real close looking pieces on 63 Buick Limited.

Re: WOW these are very rare!!!!!!!!
You're right on the Buicks John....I was looking at '64 Wildcat trim myself and it appears close or may be even the same. . Here's a link if it works. .
http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=ht...6lr%3D%26sa%3DN The 4 pieces in a row reminded me of '58 Bonnevilles but looking at pics it's different....looked closer at '63 Impala fender trim but different too. . Any Buick experts here w/ a '64 Wildcat in their garage? . ~ Pete |

I was getting ready to put a 1965 Body Service Manual on e-bay and while thumbing through it, I found this drawing. The manual is copyright August 1964 so the drawings have to be earlier than that.
