One of the rarest GM steering wheels ever produced. This one came directly from Yenko Chevrolet, and was purchased from an ex-employee. Complete used original GM wheel, with GM horn contact ring, original GM horn cap, and original GM hub. Shows some grain wear on the front side, but still a very nice piece. The ultimate interior upgrade for your Deuce! These were also sold through the Yenko catalog as an upgrade for 69 Yenko cars. Realistically priced at $1600.00 complete, plus shipping. e mail me at [email protected] with any questions. Thanks sYc for the ad.

Re: Yenko Deuce Cushion Grip Steering Wheel
What's the part number of this wheel?
Is there accent trim imbedded in the perimeter? |
Re: Yenko Deuce Cushion Grip Steering Wheel
What months was this wheel option available and when was it discontinued? 1970 only? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif

There are no part numbers stamped or printed on ANY of the GM 3 spoke wheels. (cushion grip, comfort grip, or rosewood) There is a groove molded on the outside, but these wheels DID NOT use the stainless steel trim that the common chevelle wheels had, and the rim of this wheel is much thicker than those wheels. This wheel was not a factory option on Camaro or Chevelle. It was used in 1970 only as the factory wheel in the Buick GSX, in which only about 700 or so were produced, so aside from 70 GSX, this is a Yenko-only piece. It should also be noted that these wheels do not have the molded finger grips on the backside, as the 70 Chevelle comfortgrip wheels had. I do have an NOS GM thin comfort grip wheel with the stainless band on the outside too...is that what you are looking for?? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

As noted above, it was factory installed on Buick GSX in 70 only. Yenko offered the wheel as an extra-cost option on Yenko Deuces, and also offered the wheel in his catalog as an over-the-counter add-on. I believe the original Yenko catalog price was around 50 bucks. |

Re: Yenko Deuce Cushion Grip Steering Wheel
Damm Mark...that's quite a leap don't you think? I'm curious about your forensic skills that prove the eBay wheel is the same wheel Joe is selling. He probably has a half a dozen of every wheel ever installed on any muscle car, so unless you have more facts than you express in your post...my advice would be STFU and start working on your apology post. For you to accuse Joe of fabricating a story about the lineage of that steering wheel is just ludicrous, plus...it's his piece and he can sell it for whatever he feels it's worth or others are willing to pay.

Re: Yenko Deuce Cushion Grip Steering Wheel
Have to agree with you on that Steve!!!
what it all comes down to is its Joe's wheel to sell as he pleases. Good luck with the sale of the wheel Joe. I have seen far lesser quality items go for more on Ebay. Esp items that need rebuilding etc!!! |

Re: Yenko Deuce Cushion Grip Steering Wheel
DITTO ON LV'S POST. I'M QUITE CERTAIN JOE HAS MORE THAN 1 OF THOSE STEERING WHEELS BEING A DEUCE OWNER AND COLLECTOR OF PARTS AND MEMORIBILIA. IF THAT IS THE SAME WHEEL, SO BE IT, ITS WORTH WHAT SOMEONE IS WILLING TO PAY. JUST MY .02 CENTS.... KP

Re: Yenko Deuce Cushion Grip Steering Wheel
The wheel in the ebay ad is a new repop. The wheel Joe has listed for sale is a used original. Not likely the same wheel. I still have a nos one. But this looks like a better deal. Earl

Re: Yenko Deuce Cushion Grip Steering Wheel
Hey now!!!!
Let's keep this all respectable! Joe is entitled to do as he wishes, even if you arent buying the wheel. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif |

Re: Yenko Deuce Cushion Grip Steering Wheel
"Apology post??? Why?? Prove to me that it isn't???"
The one bought on Ebay is a new repo according to the ad. According to Joe the one he has put up for sale here is a orig. one. You are basically calling him a liar. Have you ever seen all the stuff Joe has ? Have you ever seen him cheat someone or anything else underhanded ? Have you seen his Ebay feedback rating. Unless you know something we don't, your post was very insulting and uncalled for. |

Fact is, I have a total of 5 of these wheels... Including the 3 shown here, one in a box somewhere in my attic, and one in my Deuce. The one i am selling is as described, an ORIGINAL GM steering wheel. Ram this up YOUR asss. https://www.yenko.net/attachments/183416-ebaypics498.jpg PS... Re: Yenko Deuce Cushion Grip Steering Wheel
Joey I would not pay to much attention to this guy. He obviously does not know what you are all about. I will bet that the only thing he will be ramming is his foot in his mouth for making a stupid uneducated statement.
The detective in me wonders if some little nosey bit&h e-mailed or PMed a link to Mark with the e-bay wheel......someone with an axe to grind........ |

Rape the crime of using force somebody to have sexual intercourse with somebody
the violent, destructive, or abusive treatment of something Mark, lighten up. There has been enough mud slinging going on here lately. I think Joe or anyone else for that matter is entitled to sell a product for whatever they want for it. Kind of like Playboy, if you don't like them, then don't buy them. I dont want to get involved but if this does not stop, this hobby will self distruct. Rick |
Re: Yenko Deuce Cushion Grip Steering Wheel
Ouch. One of the things I have enjoyed most during my short time on this site is the usual LACK of accusational confrontation that seems to prevail so many places on the net. Even when there are disagreements, it is usaully done in good taste. Guys just agree to disagree. Personally have no problem with lively debate, but this sure seems to have crossed the line.
Hope this is the end of it. Just my opinion. Lynn |
Re: Yenko Deuce Cushion Grip Steering Wheel
Joe...he said you should give it to me for 50 bucks...send er over.

Re: Yenko Deuce Cushion Grip Steering Wheel
Mark.
You should feel free to take your accusations and anger elsewhere. The seller doesn't need to "prove" anything to you or anyone else. Your choice of descriptive words regarding the perceived mark-up on the wheel you THINK he is reselling only indicates the extent of your ignorance. Dave Sundlof |

Gentlemen, I thank you for behaving in an approriate manner! Joe, I may have disagreed with you in the past, but I find myself in total agreement here on your items! Good Luck! |
Re: Yenko Deuce Cushion Grip Steering Wheel
Wow! Now that was outta left field!
Some of us have studied these wheels for years, others have collected them for years. In fact, Joe PM'd me last week about these wheels, and how to tell the repo ones vs. the originals - just to confirm. So, he does do his homework, he does accurately describe, and doesn't pull a switch-a-roo! What a nice accusation https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif |
Re: Yenko Deuce Cushion Grip Steering Wheel
I have had nothing but positive dealings with Joe.
I bought a Nicky brochure from him via ebay a few years back and it was a pleasure dealing with him. I would reccomend him to anyone; and although we see each other only a few times a year I would be proud to call him, and his brother, friends. |

Honestly this doesn't sound like something Mark would come up with. Would be nice if the guy who stirred this up came forward. Or perhaps he is satisfied that he got someone else out in the line of fire. Come on. Speak up. Were all adults here.

Re: Yenko Deuce Cushion Grip Steering Wheel
Hey...Mr Rick Peters: did you have any part in this nonsense? Word around campus is you're involved up to your chin, so here's your chance/equal time to clear that up with a simple "Yes" or "No".
