IMUS

Imus made a really stupid remark about the Rutgers girls basketball team. This is certainly not the first time, he is a shock jock. This link make some really valid points that puts this thing in perspective.

The big mouths like Al and Jesse don't ever deal with the real problem...DRUGS..!! the drugs are the single biggest cause of violence and crime in this country....the lack of effort by our politicians to deal with this problem is amazing....stop the drugs and you will stop the crime..simple truth https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif

Hi De Ho
Hi De Hi
Gonna Get me
A piece of the pie
Gonna get me
Some of that Old Sweet Roll
Singin' Hi de hi de hi de hi de Hooooo

I've been down so low
Bottom looked like up
Once I thought that seconds saves
Was enough to fill my cup
So I proffered all I got
But it ain't no way to live
Being taken by the ones who got
The least amount to give

Hi de ho
Hi de hi
Gonna get me a piece of the sky
Gonna get me some of that old sweet roll
Singing hi de hi de hi de hi de hooooo.

Sharpton was on the Today Show this morning with Meredith Vierra.....after he ran his mouth for awhile she asked him the tough question: What are you and Jessee going to do about the "gangsta" culture that plays everyday on America's airways...big Al stumbled and side stepped and was obviously not ready to answer this type of question. They went to a video of Sharpton and Jackson in front of NBC...it is ironic that the same guy who called NYC "himey-town" should be condemning Imus for his poor choice of words....how soon we forget https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/mad.gif Don was wrong and he will be punished...the only problem is that long after this situation is forgotten, young black kids will still be dying in drug related violence on our city streets....and Jessee and Al will still have done nothing to help solve the real problems... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif

Did Al or Jesse issue an apology regarding the innocent Duke lacrosse players. These players and their families have been through hell. I wonder if they will admit their mistake and stage protest against the accuser or the DA. They have been very quiet on this issue and the recent ruling. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif

I guess alcohol can be considerd a drug since it is a stimulant..but then it can also be a depressant....and yes it can be abused just like illegal drugs....the big difference is that young people aren't having turf wars and gun battles over alcohol..!!! Illegal narcotics are the single biggest cause of violence in this country and the gov't seems helpless to deal with it....and for what it's worth..the same thing happened with booze in the 1920's....the gang warfare in those days was over the bootlegging and smuggling of beer and whiskey. There is a whole culture in this country built around drugs and violence and it is glorified in the gangsta type music that pollutes our young people...call me old fashioned, but drugs are wrong.......why do you think they call it dope..??

Re: IMUS

Regardless of what you think about the comments, its sad that neither will acknowledge nor care that Imus raised over 40,000,000 dollars for kids with cancer over the past 17 years. They probably never gave it a second thought, nor care that by getting rid of Imus really means that sick children will not be getting the money thats been raised through his radiothon the past 2 decades.

I love watching the far left eat their own. Meanwhile the Duke lacrosse players and the country's premiere race hustler's accusations are ignored. Worship and live by the PC sword. Die by the PC sword. Beautiful!

Re: IMUS

I hope the radiothon for his charities are not negatively affected this year. CBS/WFAN and MSNBC should have taken this into consideration and at least waited until it is over. I hope his charities actually get a boost from this whole incident. These sick children are the ones that will suffer. I have already made a contribution.

[/ QUOTE ] Unfortunately most are too worried about getting rid of the protesters in front of thier buildings, and if a call to boycott thier products or venues with be forthcoming to think straight. They certainly were in a hurry to get this over with. Ultimately Imus goes to Sirius with Howard Stern for 200M, and the children he raised money for are still the victims. So ultimately who hurt who???

Jesse and Al have never really done anything but pay lip service to themselves... Jesse has done it since he was living in Greenville SC... the Jesse Jackson Townhomes in Greenville are the worst projects in the city... and are just like MLK blvd in every town... you don't want to be there after dark...
I wish JJ would come back to Greenville and live in his Town Homes...

Re: IMUS

Imus made a MISTAKE! He made a COMMENT that should have not been made!It was a completely STUPID COMMENT on his part, He gave an APOLOGY so now slap him on the wrist, boot him in the AZZ and move on! I am personally tired of turning on the TV and it is either FIRE IMUS or about Anna Nicole Smith! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.As far as J. Jackson and A.Sharpton whatever they say you just have to consider the source! It is suppose to be OK for Whites or excuse me "CAUCAISIONS" to be called a CRACKER,GRINGO,HONKIE,and other names but to the people that use that language it is OK and there is nothing wrong with it.But as soon as someone that is caucaision (YOU CAN"T EVEN USE WHITE ANYMORE) says the "N" word,or uses Nappy,or calls an ILLEGAL ALIEN and ILLEGAL ALIEN we are automatically labeled a "RACIST".Personally I am completely sick and tired of all that crap.I am also fed up with the people that say we can't use the word GOD ,can't display the HOLY BIBLE or the TEN COMMANDMENTS,and does not want us to use the word CHRISTMAS etc.But when it comes to spending MONEY those people don't have a problem in the world at all! They will spend it like you or me and "ALL" currency has "IN GOD WE TRUST" on every piece of it! So I say to those folks If you feel that strongly about the word GOD!! Then by all means move to a COUNTRY that does not say GOD on the currency! To me the BS is just getting OLD! Sorry for the RANT! sometimes I just can't help it. And if anyone is offended by me using the word GOD either contact a moderator to have it deleted or JUST GET OVER IT! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

I don't think you need to be so sensitive here....

aren't there BOTH black and white girls on that team?? do they (some of them) not have an abundunce of suggestive tattoo's on their body's?? why wasn't McGuirk chastized since he made the first comments in the first place??

BTW, what would have happened to those 3 Duke players had they been black and the girl been white?? ya think Sharpton would have been mouthy then??
