This car dosent sound like the original if it was completed in 97?. So what exactly is he selling?. He wants to part with this one so he "can build ANOTHER ONE". It dosent even have a hemi in it?. How can this be the original?. If it is it's not "original". So how does he get off with 6 mill?

Winning bid $9.9 million...I find it very hard to believe that is legit. I'm not very ebay savy but the winning bidder doesn't even seem like a car person from his transactions https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif
What do you guys think?

That car is not even worth 100k let alone 9mm. I think we all know this is a publcity stunt so people will buy the John S's latest movie Collier and Company or whatever it is called...

The auction does not state if it was "Lee 1" that was up for auction. Actually the video from CBS says this car was not in the TV show. Wonder where "Lee 1" is. It has to be worth $15 million!!!

What a joke!!!!

Re: Dukes of Hazzard, this is insane

TMZ has learned the $10 million man who bid on John Schneider's "General Lee" automobile has reneged on his bid to buy the famous ride.

A source connected to the sale tells TMZ that the first deposit deadline for Mr. William Fisher, the winning bidder, was missed for making any type of formal payment arrangements with Schneider. He had originally been given seven days from the auction's close to work out the deal.

Schneider has since filed a "failure to pay" complaint with eBay and is currently meeting with attorneys to discuss "some sort of legal action."

A rep for Schneider tells TMZ, "John is looking into his options. We cannot calculate the point where legitimate bidders would have topped out if it were not for fraudulent bidding, but it seems to have been in the range of $5 million."

As for your shot at the General Lee, there's hope. The good thing to come out of this, says our source, is that auction houses across the country have contacted John for a chance to put the car up on blocks.

Coo coo coo!

Re: Dukes of Hazzard, this is insane

Look at the bidding history. Even at 3M the bidding was going up over 1M and more each bid. Nobody bids in million dollar increments, and its not only the winning bidder,it takes more than one person to run that car up to 9.9M.....It got national publicity and thats probably what the intent was in the first place. Now when its listed again for 3M it will look like a steal https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

For that kind of money the car should come with John Schneider, in the trunk.

these cars were junk when new.

you can take one apart with a set of sockets and a couple screwdrivers.

i should know,i stripped a road runner,and that's all i needed.
