Looks like some realistic prices right?
Nice photos Dog and thanks for sharing! |
Re: Atlantic City Auction
I was there yesterday Dog. (no camera). That '67 Biscayne with the L72 had a 6cyl build sheet. The Saddle Tan '64 SS sold for $17.K which was a real bargain I thought. 327, 'Glide, steering, brakes & A/C. Terrific original interior. There was a '64 Corvette convertible with hardtop, saddle tan, 365hp, 4-spd, A/C side pipes and real KO's. IT sold for $57K. Super rare combo of options. THat custom Pro-Street orange Camaro was bid to $90K with no sale.

Great pics, Glen. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
I really like the "Caution Fan" sticker on the HO COPO, https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/blush.gif, and the "1 of none" ZL1 with the vinyl top. Only 2 ZL1s had that option, and both were 71B LeMans blue. Were they billed as clones? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif |

Great pix. Did you happen to see what the yellow 70 RS/SS 396 went for? [/ QUOTE ] No - It didn't cross the block on Friday - Maybe Verne saw it on Saturday? All the cars I stated were clones were marked or priced as such. The orange Yenko had no indication either way, and I don't think it crossed the block on Friday either. |
Re: Atlantic City Auction
Dog, great pics. What was the asking price on the red ls6 ragtop? and was it real? thanks

I remember the car. It hadn't gone across by the time I left.

Re: Atlantic City Auction
just saw this thread. I was there too friday. Looked pretty good this year for quality cars.. as compared to years past.. Did you look real close at that orange COPO's 'documentation" on the front windshield? Sure look fake to me.. Looks like it was new 'aged' paper..

Re: Atlantic City Auction
Just ain't the same show since they moved from the Boardwalk Convention Center. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif The Swap Area/Flea market has been a joke ever since. No more good parts for sale; but you can buy all the model cars and cheap Japanese jewelery you want! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif The Blue 67 SS 396 sold for 32k according to the owner. I called him this past Wednesday. Was all there too. Nice car. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif

Just ain't the same show since they moved from the Boardwalk Convention Center. [/ QUOTE ] Yep; there was nothing like browsing the cars, pick up a couple of "snap dogs" and a coke, head up to the balcony and watch the cars roll across the block. That was a much more enjoyable time than how it is now at the new joint. |
Re: Atlantic City Auction
the COPO Camaro is a clone, But Very Nice !!! it was stated in the big framed description that was leaning on the front bumper

Re: Atlantic City Auction
[b] It's always great to get away and hang with the cars and car people, but your right -
The new convention center can't compare to the days on the Boardwalk! When I first walked into the swap meet I thought I had made a wrong turn and was on the sidewalk in Chinatown. The only thing missing were the knock off Rolex's and Coach bags! http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...435/atc1b1.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...435/atc1b2.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...7435/atc1d.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...7435/atc1e.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...7435/atc1h.jpg - |
Re: Atlantic City Auction
I have seen this car and it is one sweet ride. I would love to sidestep this car. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif
Its pretty funny that people dont read those signs!! I have seen people buy TRIBUTES and think they bought real cars. Its going to be real scary to buy cars in a few years when these cars resurface.. Give it a few more years !! Its only going to get better !! This is why I think PEDIGREE PEDIGREE !! These will be the Holly grails in the future. If you own one https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif This will be the buyer https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif |
