car cover recommendation
Can anyone recommend a good car cover for indoor use for 68 Camaro? Thanks

Re: car cover recommendation
Cover Craft indoor/outdoor is the best on the market. Water repellent, perforated for excellent indoor or outdoor breathing, and it keeps the car dust free. I have used one on every collector car I have ever owned.

Re: car cover recommendation
I have 30+ covers and all are from California Car Cover. They are "Softweave, Plushweave, Flannel & Duststop". All my cars are stored indoors and covered, everytime I uncover one of them I'm amazed at how much dust settles out and works its way throught the cover and onto the cars finish. They need to be dusted afterwards! From this point forward I only buy the Duststop.

Have any of you folks used one of these?

Re: car cover recommendation
Howard, why the duststop cover? Does it keep the dust out the best?
I like the flannel covers for the cushion it provides - any thoughts on these? |
Re: car cover recommendation
The "Duststop" does an excellent job of keeping the fine grit from working/settling through the fabric. It is also thick enough to provide some protection from bumps and scrapes. The flannel is softer but the "Duststop" is still quite soft, the only real advantage I see with the flannel would be in a windy environment where the cover rubbing against the finish could cause some chaffing.
I had a different brand for the first few I bought (don't remember the brand) and have since disposed of them. The California Car Cover brand tend to fit a little loose when new which has served me well. Once a year I take them all and about $125 and takeover the local laundromat. After washing they fit fine. |
