68 mo 302

If you own a 68 Z28 your 302 may be for sale on Facebook. Here is the add from Chevrolet engines and engine parts for sale

This is another engine from my fathers collection he stashed away many years ago , a Chevrolet 1968 Camaro Z/28 302 engine , chevy small block motor . Block # 3914678 date code E228 and has cast by the oil filter 944 657 77N . Stamped with 18N445313 V0529MO .
The part # 3704180 oil pump , main bearing caps F7178 Gm244N Gm247N Gm310N Gm308N. Crank #1178 forged . water pump # 3782608 . fuel pump # EH40524 .
There are two different cylinder head part numbers and it is said they came this way from the factory , one 3890462 date code E47 , this one has a welded repaired rocker arm stud tower {as pictured}. Has triple springs Camel hump double hump, and has 462 C5 cast in the bottom .
The second head is # 3917291 dated F67 and has pined rocker arm studs , this one looks to be in good shape , and has 291 C11 cast in the bottom .
The intake is # 3917610 factory winters intake has some heil coils and chipped carb tower bolt hole .
Its bored 0.60 over , it has TRW L2210A hi top pistons that look to say 0.60 . The crank shaft looks like new , blue paint can still be seen on it , has the factory Z28 oil pan . The rods are the GM pink painted rods .
The Water pump is NOS in its old box replacement Z28 Corvette water pump 38339175 . The distributor 1111443 , water neck 3711268 , bell housing 3858403 , flywheel 3791021 , Alternator 1100834 good 1100849 for parts has right pulley , carburetor holley 1786 80506 . Some of these parts are not exact factory but are very close .

My father has had this engine in storage for about 40 years or more . I do have the documentation to confirm this is a true 1968 Z28 302 and it gives the specs of the car it was in and where it was bought , and also have talked to the person my father got it from many years ago .
He confirmed it was British green with white competition racing stripes , 4 speed stick shift car , was Z28 not SS or RS , 4 barrel carb , was bought at Hoselton Chevrolet east Rochester , later traded in Dollingers Brockport NY .

Any questions just ask . Do have more pictures if needed .
