ZL1 CanAm aluminum engine
17 Attachment(s)
Bought this from a friend a few years ago along with a couple other aluminum engines that I used in cars. Probably won't get around to using this one. Can Am block, 074 aluminum heads, TI dist, vacuum advance blank pod, delco lettered cap, 198 gm manifold, aluminum water pump, deep pan, pulleys, roller rockers etc. He assembled it as a 502, all new inside with good parts, roller cam etc. He doesn't remember all the details but thinks compression is 10.25-1...... 18.000.00 shipped to U.S.address

I remember you selling a 67Z fan and clutch and then buying a 67 Z a little while later and regretting selling your fan.
I'd hold on to this motor if I were you as I'm sure something will pop up !! Wish I had a vega or something cool to put it in !! (the cash too..haha) But GLWS !! |
That's very cool Charlie!
I could put that in my 73 TA and seriously piss some people off! :D |
ZL-1 Can Am Engin
I like that idea. I always wanted to put a HOT Big Block Chevy Engine in a 1973-1975 Trans Am with A/C and all the options. Love the body style and interiors and I am a Chevy Guy!

Really great to see the Bartz name on the engine pad. Gives it a terrific pedigree as a former Can-Am engine as Al Bartz was one of the premier road racing engine builders back in the day.
