I think I have the chrome tail pipes looking as good as possible considering they were probably flash chromed like other pieces. I will use a little silver header paint to add a little color to the areas that weren't polished before chroming.

I took to the exhaust head pipes & the pipes that go over the axle to the place that does my powder coating. They use a high heat product called Cerakote for headers so it should be just fine for the head pipes. Found a color that hopefully is close to new exhaust tubing. I'll post some pictures when they return

Found the X6 that has been discussed about Norwood cars....Joe

Waiting for the exhaust to come back, here's some of the rearend. It was in good shape & original to the car. Killer 3.07 single track. Left everything stock. All powder coated with BK02 Cardinal. Closest match I could find to original pieces. Arizona plays nice with some of the chassis pieces....Joe

The original leaf springs were soaked in evap-o-rust, washed completely & then hit with 0000 steel wool. Sprayed lightly with satin clear. NOS bushings used in the forward eyes. (I hope I put the spring decals in the correct place)...Joe

The car being from Tucson, all the hardware & brackets were in great condition. Original "S" shackles & bolts/nuts & NOS bushings. Original spring pockets. Original spring plates & brake cable guides. I also have NOS spring pads. All powdered back to original color. Managed to scare up some original "832" rear shocks....Joe

Looking really good Joe. The diff housing looks terrific and I really like the clear look on the springs. I'm sure you're busy trying to decide what to put where and what to do first.

Thank you Graeme. Actually I've been stuck at my step daughter's house helping her put her new kitchen together.

Once the exhaust comes back, I want to install it & all the rearend pieces. At that point I can get one end off the cart....Joe

Joe, looking really nice. Spring decals are in the proper location.

All of the NOS leaf springs I have seen, have a bluish tint from the heat treat.

Over the last couple of days, I've been putting together bolts & items that require phosphate coating. I put them on this cardboard so when I'm done with the process, they can go back to the board....Joe
