The Silver 396 was a cool car. Did the new owner get it up and going? Hopefully it's not getting restored. I was told it was a original 12k mileage car. If the new owner would post the car on CRG or here that would be great. Not often do you see low mile cars that are all original.

New owner has it up & going. There's nothing to restore or upgrade. Nothing will ever be done to the car other than maint. It had 11,998 original miles when it left Tucson in a fully enclosed car trailer. He had to buy tires & a battery. Put back all the original mint cond. smog system. My hopes are for him to take it to MCACN in 2021....Joe

I took 5 pictures this morning of the blackouts. Didn't like a single one of them but thought I would post the picture of the tail. It comes home this afternoon or tomorrow. I'll take better pictures then...Joe

I love your approach to have those factory-style paint details :beers:

Thank you Matt...Joe

I like it Joe.

And I know what you mean on trying not to make it perfect. It's very hard to hold back like that. In either case...stellar job!

Thanks Graeme

I got the car back last evening & took some pictures this morning. These are more pictures of the tail light panel with the hand made flaws as the factory did. The last picture is looking at where the tail light comes through the body. Almost every car I looked at that was original had very little black paint on the upper lip. Possibly as to not get black paint on the bottom of the trunk lid..Joe
