Story sounds like the dealer may've been Byrne Bros?:hmmm: I think there was a DY 9561 from there too but was it a Yenko? Looking forward to more on this one! :beers: ~ Pete . |
The brown one was probably Olympic gold.

That description of the location of the original selling dealer's location fits Byrne Brothers in White Plains NY. I show three 69 Yenko Camaros being sold from there. They were all 06A cars. One was LeMans Blue N663574, one was Daytona Yellow N664077 and one was Hugger Orange N664613. I don't show that any of those are known cars currently. I know of at least three COPO Camaros being sold by Byrne Brothers as well. Interestingly they are all 03D cars. One is Daytona Yellow and is owned by Caleb Arone, one is Garnet Red and I'm not sure of the color of the third.

If I am not mistaken I see a side post battery cable in the photo from pass front, which if original, 21k miles probably is, indicates a May or later build date- lining up nicely with the Byrne Bros Lemans Blue car,
as a side note, how many sets of Firestone Sports car 200's have been found or remembered on Yenko's originally? Given that Z28's got them, there almost had to have been a few Yenkos with them, though I do not think I have ever seen a restored Yenko with sports car 200's. |

I heard about an original owner blue Yenko Camaro from Bryne Bros many times over the years. It was always said the owner was very private so i'm surprised to see pictures of it.

Was that 427 badge a known iteration of Yenko's normal 427 badge with the tall base?
|
that is the 1968 Yenko 427 emblem which was used on some 1969 Yenko Camaros and Chevelles
