69 Chevelle SS Tail Panel Paint
I've seen a lot of '69 Chevelles over the years and most SS cars have the blacked out tail panel between the trim pieces, but a few have the black going up into the trunk lip area like a Camaro. Does anyone know which is correct or does it have to do with which plant produced the Chevelle. I'm pretty sure someone here has the answer to a question I've wondered about for years.
If some of you have an original paint Chevelle, I would like to see a picture of this area. |

here is a pic of my 1969 original paint Azure Turquoise SS Postsedan tailpanel

The Azure Turquoise is faded everywhere except where the trim pieces had been.

I have seen K.C. cars that had the black out a little wider than above where the black was touching the holes for the moldings.

This is from our original paint Baltimore Chevelle. If you need other shots just holler. I also included some inside detail shots.

Yup a very special Baltimore 69!

Thanks for posting those pictures! What a great site for information. Does anyone have a picture with the black all the way up to the trunk seal?
