What is it?

I took a set of shear knifes to Palmyra, Ind. today to get sharpened and this car was in the parking lot. No emblems anywhere but the steering wheel said GT40. Is it a Ford GT40? Really nice straight car, can’t see the engine.

Looks like a modern kit car GT40, but tough to tell from pic.

What is under the kit car?
Update- I googled and found they generally have custom space frame chassis. |
you can tell by the rear scoop by the door.
That one has a molded scoop as part of the engine cover. On real 2006 ones, the scoop is separate. https://barrettjacksoncdn.azureedge....nt_3-4_Web.jpg |
I kinda figured it was a kit car.
Saturday I’ll be looking at some real ones at the Keenland Concours d’Elegance show in Lexington, Ky.. I’m please that they selected my 4K car to be in the show. My friend Bill will have his 69 Z28 there also. Been changing the 4K from a day two look back to factory appearance, that’s the way they wanted it. I’ll post up some pics later. |

Doubt you will EVER see a real GT40 with BFG Radial TA tires.
Try this. |
I have a buddy with a CAV GT40 reproduction car. The body was supposedly cast in the original molds. The car was assembled in South Africa minus drivetrain.... much like the Superformance cars.

Maybe one of these? Or a Superformance? Either way appears to mimic a GT40 MKI..
