WOW...'64 Chrysler 300K, Factory 413/4-speed, 1 of 87
It's rough, but have you ever seen one? I know I haven't...how interesting to route the shifter adjacent to the console rather than through it.
For $750, it's a cool conversation piece if nothing else. The seller also has a very nice black/gold 300K survivor for sale on another auction...both links are listed below: Link to 1964 Chrysler 300K Factory 4-speed auction Link to 1964 Chrysler 300K Black/Gold Survivor auction https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/CGYAA...Vw/s-l1600.jpg https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/S5cAA...Va/s-l1600.jpg https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/l0wAA...DA/s-l1600.jpg https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/QIYAA...Fi/s-l1600.jpg 8443236103 (black/gold survivor car) 8443113013 (rusty 4-speed car) |

They’re a unique deal, that’s for sure. This pic is from a rusty convertible found in WI last year. The console is 1963 style-they had a pushbutton automatic that year so the console just housed a center mounted ashtray. I think the ‘64 console has the shift gate offset to the driver’s side. The manual shifter pokes up next to the driver’s leg.

Same here on that shifter wow.

We had a triple white 1963 Chrysler 300 convertible when I was a kid. Really great car. I've never seen a 4-speed in this body style. Blows me away that the shifter is outside of the console like that.

I know a guy who had a triple black convertible with the 413 and the dual quads with that funky long ram manifold. It was solid too. He said he drove the beast to California and knocked down 6 (six) MPG.

That's the weirdest, ugliest and coolest thing I have seen in a while..
|
Ugliest steering wheel I've ever seen, and there a lot of ugly steering wheels out there...
|
One of Chrysler Corp's "dare to be different" squar-ish steering wheels from that era. Obviously a concept that never caught on.
