Drop Dead Gorgeous NOM '68 Z

No docs, but love the color combo. Looks super clean overall.

It will be interesting to see what this one goes for, since it's got no docs of any kind, and a NOM....

I wonder if he has any before pictures showing original fuel line or glove box decal. He talks about the rebuilt original 5 leaf rear springs but they are after market. There sure is not much showing it is a real Z. The car is nicely done and definetly worth the 35k opening bid.

That color combination is very intriguing.... I like it a lot!

Beautifully restored car and appears quite well built, but makes me wonder why he'd go through all that and put the 69 engine and peripherals back in there. He should have went with correct heads, and intake then matched the correct water pump, pulleys and wired the alternator back to the left side. I wonder if they hacked the original harness to move the Alt or if it has a 69 engine harness in there too? Stripes could have been done much better, but those are common errors for many painters. Needs to black out the inner tail light bezels as well as they are way to flashy with the re-chroming and lack of flat paint around the lenses. It really over accentuates the rear view of the car and detracts from the original look. (just me being picky here).

In either case...it's a pretty clean build and should do well with bids.

----Marine City is actually the small town that I live a mile south of. I know exactly where all the pics were taken and yet have never even heard of this Z. Strange, believe me! If anyone wants me to take a looky just yell......Bill S

Why is the car body riding so high on the suspension?

----Lee, It might be as simple as he wanted that look, but probably he chose the wrong springs. I don't know the guy, even though I live so close, but springs are springs, really no big deal. Would make a good reason to work the price down a bit. Easy enough to change out.......Bill S

One of my pet peeves. New springs almost always cause a restored car to sit too high. Don't assembly manuals show trim height measurements used to get the ride height correct?
