1970 Torino/Cobra Black/Black 429SCJ with 4.30 Detroit Locker on BaT

This is about as serious as you could order a Ford street racer in 1970. It’s from my home state of MN but looks remarkably solid for something that lived in MN its whole life.

That's a good one!

Looks like the mechanicals were freshened as needed for a ready to go driver. Just needs a set of little letter Goodyears on the included steel wheels/poverty caps.
|
Wow, that is one serious Ford product. If that was in MN its entire life, you can count on one hand (and probably have fingers left over) the number of times it saw salted roads. That oughta bring all the money, and then some.

The Falcon post sedan SCJ would be the baddest for 1970, but this is close!!

Agreed, but I think the Ford Falcon came out a little later and was considered a 1970.5 car.

Very cool find.
We just sold our 1970 Mercury Cyclone GT 429 SCJ and was easily one of the rarest cars we've ever owned. https://msclassiccarsllc.com/Images/...es/v877/02.jpg |
Looks like it's about to jump off that flatbed. That's one Fast Ford right there.

Damn, that's a sinister looking car! I'd be proud to drive it.
