This stamp is way later than yours, but a known original stamp.

Looks like the block has been decked.

I don't think so - - that looks non typical.

Looks like ghost stampings under the 5 that aren't a bounce also faint smaller #'s under the I over the chip? Also note the smoother surface areas around/under the MO, old paint or intentional fillers?:hmmm: Anything's possible but comparison w/ known genuine stampings always best. :beers: ~ Pete . |
Thanks Gentleman for all the responses, don't be shy, I appreciate all your opinion's, keep them coming.

Jeff, pad surface is a major concern. Almost impossible to make a judgement on the characters due to non-OEM markings on the pad.
|
Deck has been played with under the 'MO' section.. as already stated there is ghosting under some of the other numbers and the vin numbers especially the last one in the series isn't at all typical.. I'm all in for a big 'NO' from my experience with my own '68 Zed example!

Thanks gentleman for all your responses, the car is a real Z & is for sale near me, it also has a fake window sticker.
|
So, real Z fake motor?
