BBBenny had a really nice 1969 ss/rs 396 last year or so. I don't know if he still does...Joe

Looks like a nice one....

Looks good but the price is a lot more than I'm willing to invest. Looking for something in the 65K range...May be tough to find but prices have been trending down....Yellow not on the top of list but it looks really nice...Thanks....

I think prices have been trending up but $65K puts you in the game.
What you described

Im thinking more like $75K and up.

Thanks For The Info/Opinion

I was just looking at the Hagerty Web Site Current & Historical values and It looked like to me that prices have been trending down for the last few years and have just now basically leveled off with a slight upward trend.....Hope the upward trend continues...

Thanks for the Opinion and Info.....

An important factor in purchasing an old muscle car is realizing that you [or your family] will need to move it someday. Shop quality first.

I'm with Jonesy. I think your budget is light for your wish list. I have data on 35 auction Z/28-RS [no X-rams] and the 5 year average is $81,369. 2020 average is $93,500.

Be very careful buying '60s muscle cars at auction. I have attended many; a good portion of the '69 Z/28s consigned are welded-up junk. Fake paperwork, repro body tags, re-stamped drivetrain components. Re-bodies. Seen all of it. Camaro High Performance Certification is an excellent insurance policy but insist on seeing the actual report including page 2. That's where all the pros/cons are listed. A real, unrestored Z/28 can still have missing, incorrect or non-original parts.

It's a jungle out there.

Thanks for all the great info/discussion.... I agree, it is a jungle out there with a lot of junk on the market. That is why I have on my requirement list a Camaro High Performance Certification with all pages of the report, and I would call Jerry to verify....Need to find well known forum member with a known car and not one from a dealer or auction.

Yes, I have been told before that I have a Champagne taste with a Beer pocketbook. I might be dreaming.....Thanks Again Guys....
