Looking for L78 Nova original drivetrain

Hi I had a question not sure if its possible or not but worth a try. I'm looking for the original engine and trans for my 1969 L78 Nova M22. It's a Canadian built car and I got all the docs and GM documents proving its an L78 with a M22. Is there anyway that could help me track the drivetrain down? The car was bought in Winnipeg new and spent most of its life in rainy river Ontario where I bought it. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Best is post the VIN and you may get lucky Dan.
It's happened here a few times, most recently as this thread...

Am I mistaken or was Willow Run the only plant producing Nova's in 1969? I did not know any were built in Canada. I have an M22 with VIN 9W484917 that came from an 69 L78 Nova.

Rick...all the 1969 Novas were built at Willow Run. I think the term "Canadian Delivered"...is the correct way to present these cars.

A 1969 Nova M22 is a rare piece...there were a little over 600 Novas produced with that tranny...it would be my assumption they were all L78 cars.

yes the guy I bought the car off said it uncommon with the M22, the car is originally burnished brown too, there is still the original paint under the trunk lid.

1969 Nova production shows 682 units with an M22 and all were L78 engines.

Dan,
I presently own one of those 682 M22 Novas. I am a former Manitoban and worked at Keystone Dragways during the 60s and 70s. There were a few L78 Novas that ran at the strip. One was owned by a fellow called Norman Bruneau.
