don't think I have ever seen a car torn down to a bare firewall

Second gen F bodies are notorious for rusting in the low spots under the windshield corners at the cowl base.That would be the reason to remove that whole top section and replace it. The make a repro panel now that really helps in the repair process.

You would need to ingest massive quantities of illegal drugs to see this as a $220K car. Love those tail pipes :no:
