I have a 1969 427 with a th400 it had a 12" 3 lug converter I want to change t a 6 lug 14" flexplate can I do this and if so what about the starter? Thank You

I think I just have to go to a staggered bolt starter

Yes. Common aluminum snout starter is industry number 3510, industry number for iron snout starter is 3689.

And.... when you buy your new starter, may as well buy the correct bolts to mount it with. No reason to cheap out now. :)

So true -- you're not going to believe how many times I have seen Pick-a-Nut bolts used to bolt on starters and the owner can't figure out where all the racket comes from along with tore up ring gear ... TAZ
