'65 #s 396/425hp/4-sp/4.56 Impala Super Sport
About as good as it gets for a '65. I suppose a convertible would be just a little more outrageous.

Ditto ^^^^^
Did we miss something in the photos?
I’m like Bill, where the heck is the interior and this Big V8? Maybe that’s why it’s sitting high in the front. |
Are those front fender flags in the correct location?

I thought the 396-425 horsepower engine was only offered in the Corvette?

The 396/425 L78 was available in Corvette & Full Size Chevrolet’s in 1965. Silver car has correct emblem placement, red car does not.

Here is a REAL '65 L78 M22 4.56 BelAir that I have known since new. It's accounted for in Colvin's Chevrolet by the numbers. OO has the W/S, ordered it in Feb '65, took delivery in June. His son is a member here.

The red 65 I believe is Dennis Sherman’s original paint car.
