Steve McDonald's (TopRat) 1970 LS6 Chevelle!

Hello everyone!
A few weeks ago I took a road trip out to Alberta to pick up a 70 LS6 Chevelle that I was fortunate enough to buy. Other than having a warranty short block installed in 1974, a Hurst shifter, headers, a 69 trunk lid and one repaint in the mid to late 70’s it’s complete and original including the M22. The car has sat outside for many years and to my surprise is 99% rust free and even retains its original exhaust system from the headers back. My plan is to just tidy the car up a bit and drive it around. I’ve taken a bunch of pictures and hope you enjoy them. Cheers Steve |

Very nice Steve, I love it, especially without the BFG tires. Congratulations!

Great car with excellent documentation Steve. Always knew of the car being here but never actually saw it myself. Excited to see what you do with cleaning it up. Congrats on the recent acquisition.

Wow! If you ever let that one go, I'd love to be first in line. It's the same color combo that my '70 350hp car has (I've owned that car since I was 17). Your LS6 would make the perfect pair. Best of luck with it!

I like the Hurst Street Super Shifter!!
Owner really opened up a serious access hole :-( Is it a push down for reverse? Ryan W31. |
Spectacular. :worship:

Glad to see you were able to finally acquire it and get it home. Could not go to a better home and your friend will be smiling looking down on you.
