Presenting a stunning 1970 Chevelle SS 396 L78 375 HP with a Four Speed Transmission and Rear Posi 3.55 Axle. My Friend Peter also known as P.J. here on Yenko.net is selling this beauty for the first time in 40 years which he bought way back in 1982, he is not computer savy so he asked me to represent the car for him. Color is Green Mist with Black Stripes and a Dark Green Bucket Seat Interior with NO Console. Car was Shipped out on November 24 1969 making this L78 one of the last ones that was built before they cancelled the L78 motor option. It is a Canadian Ordered Import that has always been in Canada since Day 1 from the Heron Motors Dealer out of Cooksville Ontario. Other options include U14 Gauges, U63 AM Radio and ZL2 Cowl Induction Hood. Built out of the Kansas City Leeds Plant. Only 2,144 L78 were built for the 1970 Chevelle SS 396 production run making this car a tough one to find !

Some added items >>> a great sounding 1969 Chevelle Chambered Exhaust System, Front Bumperettes, Tilt Steering Column and Two Stewart Warner gauges for Oil + Water. Car has had a complete nut and bolt frame off rotissery restoration using all GM parts, even the seat inserts are NOS. Paint was done to copy the original squared off stripes which show in one photo of the car way back in the 70's with original paint. Comes with GM Of Canada document, Complete owner history from an Ontario Ministry of Transportation document and a Clean Real Build Sheet pulled from the rear seat.

Drive Train Details >>> Born With CKF Posi Rear Axle, Date code correct 4 Bolt Main 3969854 L78 Motor (Original Born With Motor is NO longer with the car) and an incorrect 1970 M22 Transmission currently shifts the car but Peter will include a M21 rebuilt which has an Unstamped NOS case with complete Muncie Shifter assembly (Original Born With M21 Transmission is NO longer with the car) Key components include original GM Dated Smog System/Alternator/Distributor/Pulleys/Carb/Starter etc...
