saw this Hurst Grand Prize 1970 Nova on the Peterson Photo site

might be the winners of the Hurst Nova for the Hurst name the shifter contest
Looks like "name the shifter contest" is on the quarter panel

They call it a 3 speed stick automatic

It became known as the Hurst Auto Stick and was made as a bench seat floor conversion shifter using a rod not a cable.

Also used by Yenko in the Deuce auto trans cars
some were even installed by Hurst

Cool shot Joe also similar to another we've seen w/ the kid on the roof.
I'm always keeping eyes peeled for this car and saved a few pics of it over the years, here's a couple below but there's more in past threads here including some w/ the Hurst Girls and a different lucky young lad?:hmmm:
:beers:

Wes Eisenschenk, who wrote the Lost Musclecars book, has been searching for it and the trail went cold in Ohio I believe.
