Seeking Original Yenko Bar and shield Emblem

1 Attachment(s)
Hello,

I am seeking an original Yenko Bar and Shield emblem for collection. Condition does not really matter as long as it is guaranteed to be an original. If anyone has an extra laying around, please PM me.

Also, I would like any information on any differences between the bar and shield emblems used on the grills as opposed to emblems on the fenders and tail panel. Does anyone know how these grill emblems were attached as opposed to the fender emblems that had two pins and speed nuts?

Interested in any differences between the Bar and Shield emblems used on the first gen Camaro as opposed to the Yenko bar and shield emblems used on the Yenko Deuce Nova models.

I have seen images of barn find cars (Yenko Deuce) that had a different color scheme than the emblems on the Camaro. Note attachment of barn find shield off of a Yenko Deuce that has a different color scheme on lower portion of the emblem, white stripes on red emblem instead of red stripes on white emblem.

68/69 Yenko badges had pins. (None used in 67 or earlier at all) They were painted white, then the red and blue added to the top and bottom. Blue letters, silver background. in 70 the Deuce used emblems that were chromed, no pins. Affixed with 2 sided tape. White background behind letters, blue on top, red on bottom. Incidentally these 70 chrome badges were also used on non-supercars sold at Yenko Chevrolet, but those ones were simply painted black in the recesses, with no red white or blue.

It is not very often that I see a "METAL" Yenko Bar & Shield emblem anywhere.

I assume this lack of info, pictures, etc is because this emblem is somewhat RARE???

The metal Bar & Shield Yenko Emblem was originally used on all cars sold at Yenko Chevrolet as a dealer I.D. badge.
Unlike what mentioned above the early (67 & 68" Yenko "SYC's" DID in fact carry the Bar & Shield emblem.

The emblem was attached everywhere. one the front fenders, rear panel between tail lights & also on the TOP of the AIR CLEANER.

I KNOW about this FIRST- HAND because I lived very close to both of YENKO CHEVROLET locations (Canonsburg & Route 19 in McMurray, PA. ( which eventually became SUN CHEVROLET).

Very often we would cruise to Yenkon& check out all of the SYC's and the assortment of many muscle car trade-ins on the used car lot. it was like going to a muscle car/Corvette show.

THOSE WERE THE DAYS MY FRIENDS WE THOUGHT THEY'D NEVER END.... BUT THEY DID!!!!

Camaro Joe that posted before you is also in the area and has enough Yenko stuff to fill a truck. He is the Encyclopedia when it comes to Yenko.

The first ones were in 1968. They were all "metal"...but weren't chrome plated until 1970. That's also when they went to double sided tape vs. pins.

The first I seen of the Yenko shield design was on the 1967 Yenko Camaro sponsored drag cars as a large painted on logo

The first use of the Yenko emblem that I have seen was on the 1968 Yenko DX L88 Corvette road race car when featured in a magazine article testing for Daytona
