1300 mile 67 Corvette found
|
Wow... just 30 mins down the road from me....
Looks like a lot of grease and dirt on that engine for 1300 miles. |
Wow, wonderful find. Proof they remaining hiding!
I hope it does not get restored... Dan |
What an interesting find. The article states it was hit in the back, so some paint work will need to be done if it has not already. Hopefully the engine will rotate. It looks to have the L71 engine, two tops, sidepipes, and aluminum wheels. The wheels and sidepipes certainly add value to the car if they were originally installed. There's certainly a very good chance the tank sticker is in place and in nice shape.

OK so, "collector in California", CHECK! So Charley - what are your plans for this little beauty?!!!! ;>))

Would be interesting to see the extent of the damage.

I have heard about this car for about a year. It's very cool car but the damage will not simply "buff out" The frame is bent and the rear clip will need to be replaced. I don't do social media but was told that someone posted a pic of the rear of the car on FB. It would be great to bring the car back to life. There is no tank sticker but it has an order form. It came with BO wheels and side exhaust.

I'm innocent.

From FB...
I hope it is well documented to share areas that remain original and untouched. L71/Bolts/Side pipes/Convertible remains a killer car... Dan |
