Glass cleaning

I bought a set of original tinted glass for the Chevelle and I want to clean it up as best as possible before installing it. My plan is to use windex and 0000 steel wool. However, before jumping into this I thought I would see if there are better options for doing this and I certainly don't want to damage the glass in any fashion. Thanks

How I do it Bill. I soak the 0000 real well with the glass cleaner.

IF you want to get the water spots off glass and give them the new glass gloss - the EASTWOOD glass polishing kit works really well, it will remove scratches as well but do not expect to remove very many scratches without expending a significant amount of time. however I have had a decent amount of experience removing scratches from glass and YOU NEED PATIENCE to remove scratches which you can feel...

This afternoon I polished two side glasses for a 2nd gen in about 2.5 hours. They are not perfect however they are original and they look night and day better.
