The Longest Day...

Today marks the 78th anniversary of the D-Day Invasion in Normandy. The greatest armada ever seen, along with over 350,000 sailors, soldiers and airmen were engaged in the landings. Their bravery and sacrifice helped free Europe from the Nazi scourge.

So great you always bring this forward Wilma, your post the first I've seen/heard about it just like last year. Again, the disrespect by our countries leaders is outright shameful also are we the people they've helped forget. Thanks to those who gave their everything for the freedoms we all still enjoy each and every day! :flag: ~ Pete . |
Thank you again guys for your posts and photos. D-Day is the first thing I think about on June 6th. It does make me feel good when calendars I have throughout my home still list D-Day on June 6, 2022.
